Who will conduct the research?
 
It will be conducted by Griff Round, MA,MBA,BA(Hons), who is a Doctoral Programme Member at Manchester Business School at the address at the bottom of this page.
 
What is the aim of the research?
 
To gain a better understanding of what a brand name means to consumers.
 
Which people are being included within the research?
 
People who consider that they are impacted by changes in brand names. If they do not bother you at all then this is not the research study for you!
 
What would I be asked to do if I took part?
 
You would take part in a one-to-one interview either in person or by telephone. This would be recorded.
 
What happens to the data collected?
 
The recorded interview will be transcribed and analysed using computer software. It will be stored securely.
 
How is confidentiality maintained?
 
Participant details will be removed before information is stored. 
 
What happens if I do not want to take part or if I change my mind?
 
It is up to you to decide whether or not to take part. If you do decide to take part you will be given an information sheet to keep and asked to sign a consent form. If you decide to take part you are still free to withdraw at any time without giving a reason and without detriment to yourself.
 
Will I be paid for participating in the research?
 
Out-of-pocket expenses and compensation for participants' time and convenience will be made.
 
What is the duration of the research?
 
It is anticipated that the interview will take around 30 minutes.
 
Where will the research be conducted?
 
Depending on location and convenience, interviews will either take place face-to-face or by telephone.
 
Will the outcomes of the research be published?
 
They will form part of the Doctoral Thesis. A summary will be available to participants on request.
